We represent a significant point in the coffee industries evolution and transparency of its origins. With a name like Coffee Uplifts People we obviously speak more to coffee’s promise than its legacy.
Transparently, coffee’s stained history is riddled with everything but upliftment, from a colonial, slave-built economy that relied on European and American trade with Central and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and its African origins. Additionally, a long checkered history of trade exploitation to a more recent symbolization of forthcoming gentrification to inner-city American neighborhoods, the narrative around the coffee cherry that we commercially prize for its bean has come a long way from its beautiful origins of Ethiopia.

Coffee Uplifts People is a creation of Brew 112, a Brooklyn based brew specialty brand founded by globally syndicated radio personality, Angela Yee of The Breakfast Club, Tony Forte, LaRon Batchelor.
With a proficiency in storytelling, a shared affinity for all things brew and headquartered in the borough of Brooklyn, NY, thus the “One One Two” in Brew 112 being a nod to the globally recognized borough’s zip code prefix (every area of Brooklyn starts with 112), the group has set out to lend a unique voice and distinct quality to the world of brew, beginning with coffee!
